FinBox ("the app") is a financial calculator app (SIP, Lumpsum, FD, RD, SWP, EMI, EPF, NPS, PPF, income tax, capital gains tax, currency conversion, and gold price tools) for Android. This page explains what data the app collects and how it's used.
All figures you enter — salary, loan amount, investment amount, and so on — are used only to perform calculations on your device. This data is never collected, stored on a server, or transmitted anywhere by FinBox. It exists only in your device's memory while you're using the calculator and is cleared when you close the app (except where noted below for locally-remembered inputs).
To save you re-entering values, the app stores your last-used calculator inputs in local storage on your device only. This data never leaves your phone and is not accessible to us or any third party.
FinBox shows banner ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as your Android Advertising ID) to serve and measure ads. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by FinBox directly. You can review and control your ad personalization settings in your Android device settings, and learn more about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
The Currency Converter and Gold Price screens fetch publicly available exchange rate and spot gold price data from third-party APIs (fawazahmed0/exchange-api and gold-api.com). These requests only fetch public rate data — no personal information, and none of the numbers you enter elsewhere in the app, are sent as part of these requests.
FinBox is a general-purpose financial calculator not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
